FAQ

Straight answers before you book.

Pricing, insurance, timing and what to prepare. Anything not covered: ask dispatch.

How is my price calculated?

We route your exact pickup and delivery addresses on real roads, then price the road miles with a rate that gets cheaper per mile on longer hauls. Vehicle size, open or enclosed trailer, whether the vehicle runs, the month of pickup and how soon you need it all change the result, and every one of them shows as a line on your quote.

Open or enclosed trailer?

Open trailers are the standard and cost less. Enclosed trailers shield the vehicle from weather and road debris and suit classic, exotic or high-value vehicles. Choose enclosed in the quote and the price updates immediately.

What if my vehicle does not run?

Tell us in the quote. Inoperable vehicles need a winch and a driver who has agreed to load them, so they carry a handling fee. Please say so up front: a surprise at pickup can cancel the load.

How long will transport take?

The quote shows an estimate based on the distance a carrier can drive per day, plus a pickup window. Weather, traffic and other stops on the truck can move it, so treat it as an estimate until a carrier is assigned.

Who is responsible for the vehicle in transit?

The assigned carrier’s cargo insurance covers the vehicle in transit. A broker’s surety bond is a different thing and is not cargo insurance. We check the carrier’s operating authority and insurance before dispatch, and you get the carrier’s name and DOT number with your pickup window.

How do I track my vehicle?

Every booking gets a tracking code. The tracking page shows status and the last position the driver shared from their phone. Positions are shared only while the driver has the page open, so a gap in updates does not mean the truck is lost.

What should I do before pickup?

Remove personal items and toll tags, leave no more than a quarter tank, note existing damage, and be ready to walk the vehicle with the driver. You both sign the bill of lading with its condition notes at pickup, and you check the vehicle against it at delivery.

Can I ship more than one vehicle?

Yes. Add each vehicle in the quote. Extra vehicles on the same lane earn a multi-vehicle discount, shown as its own line.

Do I pay a deposit, and when do I pay the rest?

It depends on the booking terms that apply to your shipment, which are stated on your booking confirmation before you commit: the amount due at booking, the amount due at delivery, who it is paid to and by which methods. Ask before you book if any of that is unclear.

Is the quote a guaranteed price?

No. An online quote is an estimate built from road miles and the options you chose. It becomes a firm price only when your booking confirmation says so. If the details change (a vehicle that does not run, a different address, a moved date) the price can change with them.

What happens if my vehicle is damaged in transit?

Note it on the bill of lading at delivery before you sign, photograph it, and contact us right away. The carrier’s cargo insurance responds to transit damage, and we help you file the claim. Our terms page describes the process and the time limits.

Can I cancel?

You can ask to cancel any time before a carrier has been dispatched. What is refundable depends on the stage the shipment has reached and on the terms in your booking confirmation. See the terms page for the draft policy.
